Generally, non-white people suffer from a lack of racial self -esteem. We are generally negotiating and or being strategic about our heritage and culture, rather than affirming it. Our feet not being planted firmly in who we are (and that is not always so black ( or Brown/Yellow/Red) and white- makes it easy for us to be marginalized and consistently out of the power conversations and actions of the world. Show me a people who are firm in their cultural and racial being and I’ll show you a people who flourish in aspects of their economic, educational, and spiritual existence as well.
